Malcolm A. Knock Obituary

Malcolm A. Knock, 93, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on September 14, 2016. Malcolm was born and raised in Willows, California, to the parents of Malcolm Knock and Carrie Moon Knock.

He graduated from Glenn County High School (which is now Willows High School) in 1941. He started his college education at UC Berkeley and then went on to serve his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

After the war, he married the love of his life, Nancy B. Knock, who preceded him in death after 52 years of marriage. He graduated with a degree in Geophysics from UC Berkeley. He spent his entire career, with Amoco in oil exploration, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Circle, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his 4 daughters (Kathleen, Susan, Janet, and Judith), 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on Saturday, September 17th at First United Methodist Church of Mesa. On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 11am, his ashes will be interred at the Glenn County Willows Cemetery.

Because Malcolm and Nancy loved visiting our nation's parks, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Park Foundation.
