Manuel Unpingco Obituary

Passed away peacefully at his home on November 19, 2010 while surrounded by loving family. Born on December 14, 1939 in Agana, Guam, Manuel served his country faithfully for 24 years while in the United States Army, retiring as First Sergeant in 1986. Upon retirement, Manuel settled his family in the Yuba-Sutter area where he has been a resident ever since. Manuel now joins his son, Glen; his brothers: Juan, Vicente and Ricardo; his sister, Juana and parents: Francisco and Rita; also at rest. Manuel will be loved and remembered in the hearts of his wife, Bertha; his sons: Gary and George; his daughters: Jayne, Kathleen, Gerald, Genevieve, and Gina; two daughters-in- law; and five sons-in- law; his grandchildren: Ritina, Manuel, Empricia, Cathy, Jenny Chris, Jessica, Nena, Gaby, Myles, Benjamin, Alexandra, and Harrison; and three great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday (Today) at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00am at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 200 Clark Ave., Yuba City with Father Francisco Hernandez- Gomez officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. Concluding Services with Military Honors will follow at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, CA.
