Margaret Kainoa Kaialau Obituary
Margaret Kainoa Kaialau passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born February 21, 1923 in Hawaii.

She lived in Hawaii, Japan and Guam before coming to California in 1961.

She worked for the City of Yuba City in the Finance Department for 27 years, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by 4 children: Frances Neil (Dave) of Old Magalia, CA, Wilbur Kaialau, Jr. (Theo) of Kapolei, Oahu, HI, Dean Kaialau (Leona) of Yuba City, CA, and Marilyn Kupser of Yuba City, CA; and sister, Rebecca Klein, Hilo, HI; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur A. Kaialau, Sr.

Margaret graduated from Kamehameha School in 1942 in Honolulu, HI along with U.S. Senator, Daniel Akaka. While attending High School, she witnessed the bombing of Pearl Harbor from the Kamehameha School Campus. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed crafts, like Tole painting, oil painting, crocheting and stained glass.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 12013 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel from 4:00 to 7:00pm Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at Sutter Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
