Marilyn E. Miller Obituary

Marilyn E. Miller, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2017, surrounded by beloved friends at the age of 85.

Born Marilyn Eva Kranau, she grew up in Blue Hill, NE, and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1953. She went on to earn her CPA license at a time when very few women had entered the world of accounting.

She married Philip Mahler in 1957, and together they had a son, Michael. After Phil's death she resided in Renton, WA, for a few years and then moved to Marysville in 1969, where she married former Marysville Fire Chief Robert L. Miller. She lived in Marysville for the remainder of her life, working as a CPA in the Yuba-Sutter community.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Miller; son, Michael Mahler; and son, Ronald Miller; along with 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandgirls, that she loved to visit and spoil. She also leaves behind her brother, Gerald Kranau; sister, Betty Lindsay; and many nieces and nephews in Nebraska, as well as many friends in the community and at her church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Christian Center at 2620 Colusa Hwy in Yuba City, CA, on October 13, 2017, at 10:00 am, to be followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance.
