Mary Florence Hoffman Obituary

1931 - 2013

Mary Hoffman, a long-time resident of Yuba City, passed away on December 18, 2013, in the presence of her family.

Mary was born on January 27, 1931 near Laredo, Missouri, and moved to California with her family in 1945. She graduated from Yuba City High School in 1948 and married her loving husband of 55 years, Fred Hoffman, in 1950.

In addition to devotedly caring for her family, she worked in banking for many years, retiring from Feather River State Bank. She especially enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family and many friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hoffman, her daughter, Pamela Crayne, and her grandson Nathan Koball.

She is survived by her son Randall Hoffman and his wife Paula, of Corning, California and her son Joseph Hoffman, and his husband, Philip Lorenzana, of Sacramento, California. She is also survived by her sisters, Wilma Johnson and Lois Mangrum, of Yuba City, CA; her brother, Bill Davenport, of Arlington, VA; and two grandchildren, Shane Koball and Lori Hoffman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City, CA, followed by burial at Sutter Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, December 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street, Yuba City, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Sutter North Hospice or the .
