Mary S. Hill Obituary

Mary S. Hill, 79, of Colusa, CA, passed away on February 2, 2015 at her residence in Colusa. She was born August 26, 1936 along with her twin sister Bonnie L. (Church) Warren in Corning, Arkansas to parents James and Lucy Church. Mary moved to California when she was 10 years old. She met the love of her life Dewey in Colusa. They were married on October 26, 1953, and were married for 56 years until Dewey passed away in March, 2010.

Mary enjoyed playing bingo, dominos, and card games. She also enjoyed working on her crossword puzzle books, but her passion was watching her 49er football team and watching her NASCAR racing. She absolutely loved watching her NASCAR.

Her biggest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved talking with them weekly and she loved them dearly. They always brought the biggest smile to her face, and you could see the love shining from her eyes. Her laughter, joking, and teasing her family will be missed greatly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.

Survivors include son Lee R. Hill (Pam) of Conway, AR, daughter Janet S. Davis (Steve) of Colusa, CA, son Chester A. Lee Hill (Dolores) of Stockton, CA, daughter Debra A. Schantz (Jerry) of Colusa, CA, son Lonny Jr. Hill (Crystal) of Fairbanks, AK, son Robert D. Hill (Kristina) of Williams, CA and son Mark A. Hill (Rosie) of Colusa, CA. Also twin sister Bonnie L. Warren of Colusa, CA; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey L. Hill; her daughter Bonnie L. Foster; parents James and Lucy Church and brother James Church.

Services will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at McNary-Moore Funeral Chapel. Graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. for both Mary and Dewey Hill at Colusa Cemetery, 1974 Wilson Ave, Colusa, California.
