Mavis S. Miller was born on September 23rd, 1937, in Fort Gay West, Virginia, to parents; Woodrow and Madge Wilson. She was the loving wife of Jereld Miller Senior, who preceded her in death by 16 years. She passed away on November 15th, 2017, in Marysville, CA. Mavis was an Air Force wife, and worked at Mervyns in Marysville for 15 years. She was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area for 43 years. She traveled to Texas, Florida, and California, to Beale Air Force Base as a military wife. She was a joy to be around and her good nature touching many a soul along her journey. She is survived by four sisters; Thelma, Evelyn, Beathea, and Linda. Her son and daughter-in-law; Jereld and Danette Miller, of Sutter, and her daughter, Jan Whitaker, of Wheatland. She had 6 grandchildren; Gara Pomeroy, of Yuba City, Jenna Cooper, of Sutter, Jacob Miller, of Wheatland, Sarah Whitaker, of Wheatland, and Jereld Miller III, of Sutter, William Whitaker, of Wheatland, as well as 8 great-grandchildren. She was know and loved by many as grandma Mae. Service will be graveside at Wheatland Cemetery on November 26th, 2017, at noon.
