Michael Harry Schmall

Michael Harry Schmall 37, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 in Billings, Montana. He was born Jan. 2, 1973, in Santa Cruz, California and raised in Yuba City. He worked for the Davey Tree Co. and was transferred to Billings, Montana about two years ago. Michael loved his job and co-workers. He was a hard worker and was very passionate about his work. This work allowed him to meet many new people, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He never met a stranger. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sara, son, Noah, and daughters, Abigail, Sydney and Emily of Billings, and daughter, Courtney of Yuba City; his parents, Dennis and Karen Schmall of Yuba City, his mother, Toni Roja of Sparks, Nevada; brother, Ryan Schmall (Jeanette), of Anderson, California; sister, Jennifer Smythe, of Reno, Nevada; grandmother, Phoebe Aspinall of Lakewood, Colorado; mother-in-law, Donna Gandy; a very special uncle, Greg Bennett; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved "Papa", Harry Schmall, "Nana", Fern Schmall, and grandmother, Dawn Moser. Michael loved his Lord, Jesus and would desire that his life and death would be useful in drawing others to salvation in Christ. We will miss the exuberant spirit with which Michael lived his life. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, hunting, and doing archery with his son, Noah. Most of all, he loved his family deeply. He was not afraid to show or speak the love he had for us. His girls are and will always be his "angels" and Noah is and will always be his "best bud". A memorial and "celebration of life" was held Tuesday, September 7th at Faith Evangelical Church, 3145 Sweetwater Drive, Billings, Montana 59102. In lieu of flowers there has been a memorial trust arranged at Stockman Bank, Billings, Montana. Make checks payable to the "Michael Schmall Memorial Fund".
