Michelle Ann Manning Obituary

Michelle Manning, a beloved wife, and loving mother to son Jimmy, passed away on October 20, 2015. A Yuba-Sutter resident for 54 years, she was born on May 26, 1961.

Michelle was a loving, kind, and generous daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her smile and laugh were so contagious, it would light up the entire room. She enjoyed baking (Her cookies were fabulous), traveling, and her job, but most importantly, spending time with her son, whether it be watching him play basketball or helping him with his homework.

Her greatest passion in life was helping others. She always put other people's needs before her own. Whenever someone needed help, she was there. One of her greatest joys was working for the Yuba County Sheriff's department. They were her second family, and she truly loved and cared about each and every one of them.

For those of us who were blessed to know Michelle, we knew her faith was strong. Throughout all her pain and suffering, she never lost hope and believed that God was always by her side. Her strength and determination were for the love of her son.

Michelle was a Past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters. She volunteered for many organizations, was the team mom of her son's sport teams, a parent helper with Faith Christian School, and a Math Olympics coach.

She graduated with a bachelor degree in Accounting from Sacramento State University. She held many positions during her career, including a debt collector, a tax collector, a treasurer, and a financial officer.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Manning; her son Jimmy; her parents Mike and Marjorie Mostats; her brother Michael Mostats; her sister Marcy (Les) Passuello, and her nephew Jeremy Gibson.

A Celebration of her life will be held on October 30, 2015, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of the Twin Cities in Yuba City. Reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CPMC Foundation, 2015 Steiner Street, San Francisco, CA 94115. Please make checks payable to CPMC Foundation and note on the check that it is for "Center for Melanoma Research" in memory of Michelle Manning.
