Nadine Waggershauser of Chico, born on December 29, 1928 to Ray and Blanche Muck in Wheatland, died on July 23, 2013 in Chico at the age of 84 following a short illness. Nadine graduated from Wheatland High School and Yuba College. She worked for the California Department of Transportation before her marriage to Bill in 1951 and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church in Wheatland and enjoyed traveling with Bill, spending time with her family and playing cards with her many friends in Wheatland.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, her brother Donald Muck, brothers-in- law Leon Hern and Don Thompson, nephew Larry Hern, and great- nephews Jared Muck and Justin Ford.
Nadine is survived by her sisters, Anna Hern and Louise Thompson, sister-in-law Lois Muck, daughter Barbara Haskin (Parry), son Joe, grandchildren Tad Strom (Alicia), Nelo Lucich (Jenny), Angela Inderbitzen (Will), Rachel Teruel, Deborah Micheli (Angelo), Tim Coyle and Paula Waggershauser, 13 great- grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Sam.
The family would like to thank Dr. Eugene Cleek, Dr. Sam Brown, and the amazing, compassionate nursing staff on the first floor at Enloe Hospital in Chico.
A memorial service will be held on August 10, 2013 at 11:00am at Grace Episcopal Church in Wheatland with a reception to follow at Pioneer Hall. Burial will be at Wheatland Cemetery.
