Nadine Keene Obituary

Nadine Keene passed away on November 29, 2017, at Enloe Hospital in Chico, surrounded by her loving family. Nadine was born at her family home on September 12 , 1928, to Darwin and Adeline Picknell.

She is survived by her four daughters, Diane Demarest (Don); Kathie Whitesell (David); Penny Fiedler; Vicki Mcintyre (Kenny); grandchildren, Toby Reading (Kiffin); Nick Reading (Brooke); Tricia Livermore (Dean), Angie Smith( Brandon), and Anthony Perez (Sarah); and great-grandchildren, Scott Phillips; Rylee and Allie Reading; Todd, Max and Mia Reading; Zack Livermore; Jacob and Araya Perez; Emily, Haley and Jade Smith; great-greatgranddaughter, Bella Phillips; sister Nelda Dillman; and numerous nephews; nieces and loving friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Warren, sister Doris Marshall, brother Lee Smith,brother Bruce Girdner, and grandson Jeff Philips.

A graduate of Arbuckle High School, she worked many jobs, working at Glenn General Hospital, Valley Wide Chemical and first and foremost a wife, mother, and homemaker to her family.

She was an avid seamstress making many of her daughter's clothes in their early years. She had a love for the Butte Meadows cabin and a knack for fly fishing. She will be missed by all that knew her quick wit and laugh. If you would talk about the S.F. Giants, 4gers or Jeff Gordan she knew it all!

Funeral Arrangement are under F. D. Sweet & Son (530) 934-5524. Graveside services will be at the Marvin Cemetery Afton, CA. on Saturday, December 9, 2017, 11:00 am.
