Neil Bemis Obituary

Neil Bryce Bemis 80, of Yuba City, CA passed away November 6, 2010 at Rideout Hospital. Born April 3, 1930 in Marshall, MI, Neil was a Yuba Sutter area resident since 1997. He was a meat cutter for the Felpausch Food Center. He was a former board member and member of the Tekonsha Baptist Church in the 1970's and the East Eckford Church in the 1990's. He served as Burlington Village Michigan Clerk in 1960. He also served in the Air National Guard for 21 months. Survivors include wife, Anita M. Bemis of Yuba City; sons: Harold L. Bemis of Cleveland, OH and Timothy M. Bemis of Griffith, IN; daughters: Norma Bemis of Battle Creek, MI and Dawn Mathieson (Brett) of Yuba City, CA; grandchildren: Beth R. Mc Neeley, Jennifer Wendt, Jorge Zapata; great - grandchildren: Kylie Endsley, Mason Endsley and Hayden Mc Neeley. He was preceded in death by six sisters. Services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Cooper Avenue Baptist Church, 804 Cooper Ave., Yuba City, CA with Pastor David Turner officiating. Visitation will be at 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Tekonsha, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Sutter North Hospice, 400 Plumas St., Yuba City, CA 95991. Funeral Services are under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Directors.
