Pamela Stacey Fong Obituary
Pamela Stacey Fong AKA: Pam, Pammy, Moi-Moi, Auntie Pammy, Spam, Mapgnof, Mappy, age 59, died at home on May 23, 2014.

A guiding light and mentor to the many students she advised at UC Davis, Pam was passionate about helping them succeed. She was the ultimate compassionate caretaker, volunteering her time and energy to others in need. An artisan, Pam created beautiful and impressive works of stained glass. She loved nature, music, dancing, traveling, and animals, especially her cat, Kiggy and dog i.e., shadow, Panda. Auntie Pammy spoiled the youngest generation of family and friends with attention, and they loved her for it.

Although Pam had health issues she could not overcome, she was in good spirits and happy most recently. Several family members and friends were fortunate to have had memorable visits with her this year.

Born October 27, 1954, raised in Yuba City, a former resident of Davis, Pam was a current resident of West Sacramento.

She was preceded in death by mother, Rose L. Fong.

Survivors include father, Alvon L. Fong; siblings, Art Fong (Cynthia), Larry Fong, Sandie Lewis (Dave), and Suzy Sapunor (Pete); cherished nieces and nephews, Alissa, Andrew, Cydney, Zach, Nick and Matthew; plus adored grandnephews, Jacob, Lucas and Kai. Special acknowledgment to dear friend, Kikue Hori. Thank you to lifelong friend and Fong adopted, David Rice - we are forever grateful for all that you meant to Pam and to us as well.

Pam requested "no services" instead Family and Friends are encouraged to wear red, Pam's favorite color, and come celebrate her all too short life on June 16, 12:00 p.m. at the Japanese Methodist United Church, 6929 Franklin Road, Sac., 95823.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pam's name to the World Wildlife Fund P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180 or to the Japanese Methodist United Church.

Pam was a most generous soul, a fighter until the end and she will be deeply missed.
