Paul Eugene Potter Obituary

Paul Eugene Potter, 89, of Marysville, CA, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Paul was born in Bird City, Kansas, on October 7, 1925 to Glenn and Dorothy Fern (Stowe) Potter.

In January 1944, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for three years during WWII. After which, he served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for four years. He came back to Washington and pursued a career as a Surveyor throughout the Pacific Northwest. After his daughter was born, he and his wife Margaret (known as Peggy) ran a daycare out of their home in Marysville, CA.

Paul had a love for fishing, yard work and weekends away at the coast. There were many trips to Fort Bragg, CA, where you would find him spending time on the beach or walking along the cliffs. He had a knack for gardening and you could always find him tending to the tomatoes in his garden.

He is survived by his children: Paula Potter, Ronnie Potter, and Peggy's children: Jenny McBride, Heather Bergstrom, and Angela Correa; one sister: Maxine Billings; two brothers: Glenn Leroy Potter, and Donnie Potter; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

A private memorial will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 5:00pm. For further information, please email his daughter at [email protected]
