Peggy Jean Battin Obituary
Died March 13, 2014 in the home of her mother surrounded by her immediate family, cousins and close friends. Peggy was born on February 3, 1950 in Marysville at the Rideout Hospital and grew up in Yuba City.

She graduated from Rio Lindo Academy in 1969, attended college at Pacific Union College, and graduated from Loma Linda University with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1972, practicing in that occupation for over forty-one years.

A very compassionate person, Peggy came to the aid of people and animals alike who needed help in their personal times of distress. She always saw the best in others to a fault.

She was a collector of frog memorabilia and had a wonderful sense of humor, injecting her silliness into the family to keep things light. She loved water sports, snow skiing, and travel; was very competitive and hated to lose when playing cards.

Preceded in death by her father, Richard F. Battin.

She is survived by her mother, June Battin; Ashley Wheeler (step- daughter); Judy Clendenon (sister) and her husband, Dr. Kirby Clendenon; Richard F. Battin, II (brother), Jude David (sister-in-law); Crystal (niece) and Andy Stevensen and their son, Garrett (grandnephew); Dr. Jacob Clendenon (nephew) and his wife Marilyn Moretti and their daughter, Katherine (grandniece), and Zachary Clendenon (nephew).

A Memorial Service will be held at the Yuba City Seventh-day Adventist Church March 29, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.
