Philip Widener Obituary

Philip Widener of Live Oak, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on March 9, 2015. He was born on January 29, 1952 in Marysville, CA to Arthur and Agnes Widener and was one of eleven children.

Philip worked in the petroleum business the majority of his life. His biggest loves were hunting, fishing and his family. He truly enjoyed his yearly hunting trips with family and friends and always did his best to bag the biggest deer or elk for bragging rights! He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris; by their daughter Tricia (Tommy) and son Douglas (Lori), two grandsons (Jacob and Dominic) and two granddaughters (Katelyn and Marissa). Philip is also survived by four brothers (Raymond, Ellis, Eddie and Paul), four sisters (Mabel, Melva, Ruth, and Martha) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Agnes Widener, step-father Henry Lightle, brother Edgar "Leo" Widener and sister June Widener.

Services will be conducted Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at The Father's House in Live Oak, CA. A reception will be held at the same location following the services.
