Randy Jared Hall Obituary

Randy Jared Hall, 20, of Marysville, CA, passed away on March 12, 2015. He was born in Yuba City, CA on November 12, 1994. He graduated from Marysville High School in 2012. He attended Yuba College. His favorite course was Astronomy and he was most proud of his efforts in Calculus, earning a 100% on his final. His dream was to make a huge contribution to science with a career in Theoretical Physics or Cosmology. He also loved history and was current in all the world events.

He had a great sense of humor and he loved to be around funny people. He made us laugh a lot as well. As a family, we took many vacations to his favorite place, Fort Bragg, CA. There, he loved to abalone dive with his dad. Last summer he caught his first 10" abalone. Randy wanted to see historical places and landmarks. He planned our vacations and we went to Alaska, New York and Washington, DC. On his own, at age 15, he climbed Mt. Shasta with guides and at age 19, he drove himself to Arizona State University to see his favorite scientist, Lawrence Krauss, speak and then visited the Meteor Crater. Randy had a strong compassion for the needy during Christmas, donating his own money to the Salvation Army. He dreamed of aiding and ending child hunger and helping foster children.

Randy is survived by his parents, Chuck and Dianna Hall; his brother, Ricky; grandparents; Janice Hall, Sharon McVey, and AJ & Barbara Hall; aunts & uncles, Matt & Jodi Hall, Amy & Eumie Davis, Dana Rose, and Wade & Patty McVey; cousins, Nicholaus, Amber & Grace Rose, Jessica & Justin Hall, River Davis, Valerie, Angela, & Glenn McVey. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David McVey.

A service will be held at 4:00 pm on March 21, 2015 at Lipp & Sullivan, 629 D Street, Marysville. A pot-luck will follow at the Marysville Elk's lodge, also on D Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ChildFund.org, Sleeptrain Foster Kids, or the local Salvation Army in his honor.
