Raymond Tamayo (Moncho) Martinez Obituary

Raymond (Moncho) Tamayo Martinez passed away January 31, 2015 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA. He was a Colusa County resident for 60 years.

Raymond worked for the City of Colusa as a Public Works Supervisor for 39 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Jaycees. Ray was a coach for Colusa Little League for 35 years. He was also a reserve Sergeant for the Colusa Police Dept. Raymond enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting and camping.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Mary Martinez of Colusa. Sons; Raymond Gabriel Martinez "Miwon" of Chico, Christopher Martinez of Colusa. Daughter Diane Surita "George" of Yuba City. Sisters Annie Castillo of Modesto, Elsa Zamero of San Jose. 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sylvia Surita.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10th with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 pm at the McNary- Moore Chapel, 107 5th Street, Colusa, CA.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, February 11th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 4th and Oak Street, Colusa. Burial will follow at the Holycross Cemetery.
