Richard Evan Pippin Obituary

Richard Evan Pippin, 50, of Yuba City, CA, passed away September 13, 2014. Born November 9, 1963, Richard was a lifetime resident of Sutter County and a graduate of Sutter Union High School. After 19 years of service, Richard retired from Sonoco where he was a sawyer.

Richard was an avid, life-long outdoor sportsman. He enjoyed the many hunting and fishing excursions with his father and uncle. He often traveled out of state to go elk and deer hunting. He also enjoyed the many painting and art classes he attended with his mother.

Richard is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Deborah (Pippin) and Gregory Stangl, their children, Evan and Meyer and Linden, his step-sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Art Brandwood, their children Kayla and Ashley, step-brother Martin McNerney, his Uncle and Aunt, Roger and Dawn Pippin and his long-time companion, Donna Vargas.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Brubaker Shepherd and his father, Evan John Pippin. Richard will be terribly missed.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2014 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at Sutter Baptist Church, 2310 Mulberry Street, Sutter on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 am. Burial will be private at Sutter Cemetery.
