Richard (Rick) Janway Obituary
Rick passed away March 16th, 2013 in Olympia, WA. He was born January 6, 1948 at home in Sheridan CA to Clarence and Ida (Haddox) Janway. He graduated from Lincoln High School (Lincoln CA) and served in the US Army in Vietnam. After returning home from Vietnam he worked for many years as a union carpenter before retiring in 2010.

Rick enjoyed striper fishing on the Feather river, gardening, watching 49ers football, watching the birds at his feeders and visiting with his daughters and grandchildren. He had a secret talent as a baby-whisperer and could elicit a squeal of delight from his grandsons with just a look.

Surviving him are his daughters Keely (Chris Snyder) and Carrie Janway (Olympia WA), grandsons Cole, Charlie and Ben Snyder, brothers James Janway, David Janway, Vernon Janway, sisters Eudean Bragg, Maxine Hern, Barbara Spencer, Joyce Cline, sister-in-law Kathy Janway and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ida Janway, brother Ross Janway, and sister Margaret Salmons.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am March 27th at the Wheatland Community Fellowship Church of God followed by a burial at the Wheatland Cemetery and reception at the home of Eudean Bragg.
