Robert D. Dunn

Robert D. Dunn of Olivehurst, passed away peacefully at his residence among family on Thursday, November 25, 2010. Robert was 65 years of age, he was the Pastor of the Shield Of Faith church in Olivehurst, CA. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Beene, his father, Claude Dunn, as well as his sisters, Joyce Dunn and Claudine Searl. He is survived by his brother, Donnie Dunn and his sisters, Patsy Upton and Janice Prothero. Robert had two children, Patsy Dunn and Adam Dunn. His grandchildren, Robert T. Dunn, Hannah Dunn, Megan Dunn and Cameron Williams. Robert was a kind and loving man who enjoyed being involved in his community as well as being a much loved pastor by the people of his church. Despite the many physical ailments that he suffered the last years of his life, Robert always focused on helping others and the betterment of his congregation and family. Robert was an intelligent man who loved to tinker with things. Above all else, he loved his family and considered them his prize possessions. Robert will be missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held at Sutter Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at 1:00 pm. A memorial and potluck will be held following the service at the Shield of Faith Church, located at 1534 3rd Ave. Olivehurst, CA at approx. 2:30pm. Send Condolences to www.appealdemocrat.com
