Robert Sohrakoff Obituary
Robert J. Sohrakoff (RJ) passed away on June 30, 2013, at the age of 64, with family and friends in Wheatland, CA. He was born in Oakland, CA, on February 16, 1949 to the late John J. Sohrakoff, Jr. and Zella (Barton) Sohrakoff.
He was preceded in death by his brother John B. Sohrakoff.
Robert graduated from Wheatland High School and attended University of California, Berkeley. He left college to return to the family farming business. He also worked many years for Yuba Trucking.
Robert is survived by his wife Patricia Murphy Sohrakoff; a stepson Lawrence Taylor, Jr, a stepdaughter Kristi Taylor Rymer; & 5 step-granddaughters.
Robert had a passion for Baja and had the opportunity to live in Loreto, B.C.S., Mexico for a year and a half before becoming ill with cancer. He returned to Wheatland to be with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Pioneer Hall, 4th & B St., Wheatland, CA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests you contribute to your favorite charity.

As a kid, my mother would go over to visit Bob's mom, Zella. Bob, John & I spent a lot of time climbing trees & running about. Good memories. So sorry they are all gone now. I will be praying for Jesus to comfort all of you.

My father played baseball against his father, John and I still remember many good times our families shared after the the games.I had the pleasure of fishing in Loreto a number of times, I'm sure he enjoyed his time their, I Remember playing with "Bobbie" he will be missed
