Ruth was born on March 26, 1925 and lived briefly in Alpine Texas. Her upbringing was in Meridian, California and she finally settled in the countryside around Yuba City. She married Hugh Morrison in 1943 after graduating from Sutter High School and found herself dedicated to work in San Francisco while Hugh was consumed by his Naval efforts in winning World War II. |
After the war, they returned to Yuba City and dedicated their lives to their trucking business and farming.
Ruth also found great enjoyment and pride working in the Yuba City High School offices. And of course, she was dedicated to working in her beautiful gardens around her home.
Ruth also found enjoyment everyday while reading and observing her neighbors while living in The Fountains until this past Sunday. Ruth loved life!
Ruth is survived by her older son, Hugh, with his wife, Judy and her younger son, Dave, with his wife, Linda. She also had a grandson, Hugh's son, Hugh.
We will have a burial at Sutter Cemetery at noon this Thursday. Following that, we hope to see all of her friends and relatives at our home at 673 Franklin Ave. in Yuba City. Please drop by and share memories. And yes, memories about Mom and Dad! All those fine friends of hers from The Fountains are also invited.
