Sawyer Orion Rummelhart Obituary

Sawyer Orion Rummelhart, 9, of Yuba City and Lincoln, CA, passed away peacefully at home February 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a 10 month battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma. He fought with bravery, strength, courage, and hope. He had an incredible zest for life, a smile that lit up a room, and an enormous love for his friends and family.

Born in Sacramento, he was the beloved son of Rick Rummelhart and Kelly Enders-Tharp, and the cherished little brother of Ruby and Preston. Sawyer was a fourth grader at Foskett Ranch Elementary in Lincoln. He enjoyed dancing, swimming, basketball, football, the Seattle Seahawks, and myriad electronics. He had the most amazing sense of humor and his laugh was contagious.

Sawyer is also survived his by his step-moms Cameo Arrasmith and Erin Enders-Tharp; step-brothers Jude, Greyson, and Charlie; grandparents Rick and Mary Rummelhart , Steve and Janice Tharp, and Sherry Lanier and Doug Aldridge; loving aunts and uncles Eric and Denise Barchas, and Laurie Rummelhart and Michele Tomas, and Tom and Jessamyn Pritchard; great-grandmother Mary Tharp; a large extended family; and thousands of Sawyer's Warriors.

A public Celebration of Life will take place March 10th, 2016 at 6 pm at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, 1515 J Street.

We are so grateful for the support, love, and prayers of all Sawyer's Warriors, and for the knowledgeable care of the doctors and nurses at Kaiser Roseville and Vitas Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sawyer's memory to Camp Okizu and Unravel Pediatric Cancer would be appreciated.
