Stuart Alan Currie passed away March 7, 2014, at the age of 56, after a long illness.|
Stuart was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Lindsay.
Stuart is survived by his father, Andrew Currie of Naples, Idaho; his daughter, Rendy Allison of Santa Rosa; his brothers: Ian Currie of Seattle, Washington, Scott Currie of Cottonwood, Drew, Chris and Neil Currie of Idaho; nieces: Rachel Ekberg and Sarah Burton of Yuba City, Christine Currie serving in the U.S. Army in Germany; and nephew, Jonathan Currie of Cottonwood.
Stuart was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in Yuba City. After high school Stuart served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He then moved to Olympia, Washington for 10 years and returned to Yuba City 25 years ago. Stuart worked various jobs: construction, gold mining, building maintenance, security, and boxing coach. Stuart's real joy was teaching guitar which he did in Olympia and Yuba City.
Stuart's family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to Karen May, Rachel Ekberg, Sarah Burton, the staff at Rideout Hospital and Yuba City Care Center for their care and compassion in his final days.
A private family service and interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Washington State.
