Sukhdev Singh Dhaliwal

Sukhdev Singh Dhaliwal 59, passed away November 5, 2010. Sukhdev was born May 8, 1951, in the village of Rattowal, Punjab, India. He married his wife, Shamsher Kaur on January 26, 1969 and immigrated to the United States in 1975. He has been a Yuba City resident since his arrival in America and worked for Richard Wilbur Ranch in Yuba City since 1975. Our beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Sukhdev was taken from this earth far too early, and the void his departure has left in the hearts of so many who loved him will never be filled. Those whose lives he blessed with his generosity and giving nature will always remember his warmhearted spirit. He was preceded in death by his son, Jasbir (Jesse), age 34 who passed away on July 1st of this year and his older brother Nachattar Dhaliwal of Fresno. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shamsher, daughter, Kulbir (Vahniwal); son-in-law, Gurdeep (Raju); son Amarjit, and grandson Gurshaan. He is also survived by his brothers Bharpoor Dhaliwal of Yuba City, Mohinder Dhaliwal of Live Oak, Mehar Dhaliwal of Fresno and sisters, Karnail Khangura and Mohinder Khattra of Punjab, India and the rest of his extended family. Final prayers and cremation will begin 1 p.m., Friday, November 12th, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. An additional prayer service will follow at the Sikh Temple Gurdwara on Tierra Buena Road.
