Ted Coppin Obituary

Ted Coppin, 59, of Pleasant Grove, CA, passed away September 17, 2016 in Lincoln, CA. He was born August 6, 1957 in Lancaster, CA.

Ted is survived by his parents Lowell and Barbara Coppin, of Pleasant Grove; son and daughter-in-law Brandon and Cassy Coppin, of North Highlands; brothers Scott Coppin of Yuba City, Steven Coppin of Pleasant Grove, Chris Coppin of Pleasant Grove; and sister Vicki Reimann of Yuba City.

Ted attended East Nicolaus High School and studied Industrial Engineering at California Polytechnic State University. Ted was employed by California State Department of Transportation as an engineer. He was recognized by his peers for his STAMP in the community, Engineered by Teddy! As you travel around your neighborhood, know that Ted has his "stamp" on your roads and bridges (Sutter County Hwy 70, four lane widening Nicolaus and Hwy 99, Feather River Bridge), new structure and bridge/road improvements.

His pride and determination as he worked to improve his community was a blessing to know that he contributed so much, so close to home. Not many can say they built the road they drive home on! He received many awards, just to list a few, for innovation, stewardship and willingness to make the difficult decisions and back them up.

Ted enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, belonging to the NRA and racing modified stock cars; everything having been a source of many good memories.

Six words that sum up Ted's life are as being "Loving, Humorous, Adventurous, Clever, Well-rounded, and Courageous."
