Octocber 7, 1952 - August 12, 2014

Teresa died at home after a brief illness. She received much support from her loving husband and best friend, Xavier Alcocer, her family and her many friends.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Xavier Alcocer, as well as her son, Joseph Alcocer (Erica). She is also survived by her mother, Delores Howard, and two sisters, Sonya Hlavinka (Lonnie) and Denice Newsom (Gaylon). In addition, she is survived by two aunts, Bernadine Fester of San Antonio, Texas, and Faye Procsal of Sparks, Nevada, as well as cousins, nephews and nieces.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Boroff and her brother, James Boroff.

Teresa was born in North Platte, Nebraska, on October 7, 1952. She attended local schools, and lived in the Yuba-Sutter area most of her life. She was well known in the community for her work at Sam's Club as the manager of the jewelry department for 16 years. Teresa made many friends while at the club, where her many customers appreciated her help. Previously, she worked for 8 years for both Dairy Queen in Marysville and Del Monte Cannery.

Teresa's faith was unwavering and comforting. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Teresa dedicated her life to teaching others about the Bible. She truly appreciated her loving association with her Jehovah's Witness family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall at 650 N. George Washington Blvd., Yuba City.
