Thomas Frederick Limper, age 59, died on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Chico, CA at Enloe Medical Center surrounded by family and friends, after a brief illness. "Tom" was born on January 24, 1956 in Yuba City, CA, the fifth child of the late Lt. Col. Tillman C. Limper, USAFR (Ret) and the late Esther Burns Limper. He attended Holy Angels School in Yuba City, graduated from Yuba City High School in 1974, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis in 1978.

After graduation, he continued his career in the hospitality industry, eventually becoming the manager of Lyons Restaurant. In June, 1986, he married Julie L. Limberatos of Cupertino, CA, daughter of the late Jim and Margaret Limberatos. Tom and Julie settled in Chico and raised three sons, Justin, Grant, and Alex. Early in their marriage, Tom completed a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting at California State University, Chico, and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He began a career as an accountant at Matson and Isom Accountancy Corporation then worked in the Enloe Finance Office, at In Motion Fitness as Controller, and finally transitioned to public service for Butte County as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He retired in 2014.

Tom was active in his church, Our Divine Savior Parish in Chico, and enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a talented musician and vocalist and was often called upon to perform. Tom maintained rich and meaningful relationships with family and friends, was outgoing, generous in helping others, and a terrific chef.

He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Diane Tyler of Sacramento, CA. He also leaves five nieces, one nephew, and a grandniece. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Divine Savior Parish on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 5:30 pm. Interment will be private.
