Travis Lloyd Scheiber Obituary

Travis Lloyd Scheiber, of Rio Oso, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in the early hours of May 4, 2017. Travis was born in Richmond, California on January 25, 1970, but his parents never gave up their rural roots and often took the kids to visit family in South Sutter County. The family moved to Yuba City in 1989 then Rio Oso a few years later. If you asked Travis, he would say he was a lifelong Sutter County resident.

Travis loved spending time outdoors gardening, landscaping and playing with his dogs. But he especially loved fishing. He was a masterful mechanic building wheelchairs or computers from the ground up with ease. He was a devoted and caring man who loved all the people in his life deeply. He was always ready with words of advice or just a safe person to tell your troubles. No matter how hard his life became, Travis never stopped believing that the smallest acts of kindness made the profoundest of changes.

One thing about Travis is he loved women. Not in the creepy, "Hey Baby!" kind of way but in the you are bolder, braver, smarter than you or the world around you know. You can and will achieve your dreams if you only try. Don't give up! Hard work, perseverance and flat out orneriness will see you through. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his parents, William and LeVon Scheiber of Rio Oso and his sister, Chelsea Scheiber of Rio Oso. He is preceded in death by his older brother, Sloan Scheiber.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy http://www.parentprojectmd.org or Toll-free 800-714-5437 or to South Sutter Recreation Association Pool in Nicolaus, CA. https://www.gofundme.com/tnd53u3c or call (530) 218-5232.

Public graveside services are planned for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Fairview Cemetery District, 1533 Pacific Avenue, Rio Oso, CA.
