Veronica Constance Bendorf Obituary

Veronica Constance Bendorf, 71, of Yuba City, California, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Veronica was born in San Jose, California and is the eldest daughter of Frank and Margaret Maggi.

Veronica relocated to Yuba City with her husband, Robert Bendorf Jr., where they have lived happily for the last 38 years and have been married 51 years. She was a very devoted and loving mother to her three children, Brenda Neal (Brian) , Robert Bendorf III (Melanie) and Laura Williamson.

In addition to her husband and children, her passion and greatest joy for the last 27 years was sharing laughter and love with her seven grandchildren Christopher, Robbie, Jordan, Samantha, Eric, Nicole, Matthew, and one greatgrandchild, Evelyn. She never missed a graduation, birthday or special occasion.

Veronica took great pride in her work and was a loyal employee of Sunsweet for 27 years. As an Applications Development Manager, she furthered the efforts of the company and developed long lasting relationships with her co-workers.

Since her retirement in 2003, Veronica enjoyed traveling the United States visiting sites and family. She also enjoyed gardening, finding and preparing new dishes to share and being at home with her family. She was a great planner and always had a purpose in everything she did. While she wouldn't quite disclose why she was doing it, the results always involved a consistent theme, her family.

Veronica will be greatly missed. Words can never describe the void that is left in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. The woman we call our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, best friend, and hero can never be replaced and the joy and memories she brought to our lives will never be forgotten.

In addition to her immediate family, Veronica is survived by brothers, Larry Maggi (Judy) and Franklin Maggi; sister, Angela Dominguez (Genaro); nieces, Jennifer, Gina, Maggie; and nephew, Neil. Veronica was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel of Yuba City with funeral services Friday, December 12, 2014, at 10:00am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, which is located at 222 S. Clark Ave, Yuba City. A private interment will be at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be given to Sutter North Hospice or .
