Victor "Shorty" Mitchell McCullough, of Mineral, Ca, passed away in Davis, Ca on Friday, June 19, 2015.

He was born to the late Victor and Helen Mitchell McCullough, May 22, 1930, in Woodland, Ca. He graduated from Pierce High School in Arbuckle, Ca in 1948 and later joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After his tour of duty in the Air Force, he returned home to join his Father in the family farming operation. He married Nancy Hatcher Goodman in 1971 and they lived in Dunnigan, Ca and relocated to Mineral, Ca in 1998. "Shorty" enjoyed fishing and hunting and all outdoors activities.

"Shorty" was a member of the Dunnigan Volunteer Fire Protection District for forty-three years and served as Fire Chief for fourteen years. He is a Life Sponsor of Ducks Unlimited Inc., he has served as D.U. chapter and district chairman, California State Zone Chairman and a member of the California State Ducks Unlimited Committee. He is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. "Shorty" was a member of the California Farm Bureau for many years. He was on the Board of Directors of the Mineral County Water District where he served as President for the past several years.

"Shorty" is survived by his children Steve McCullough (Susie) and Linda Aulgur (Frank) of Arbuckle, Ca and step-children Doug Goodman (Michele) of Esparto, CA and Todd Goodman of Red Bluff, Ca. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and his sister Mary Aulman of Woodland, Ca. He was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister.

Box 91, Yolo, Ca 95697; Mineral/Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 3, Mineral, Ca 96063 or to Donors favorite charity.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Mary's Cemetery located at the intersection of County Roads #98 and #15 North of Yolo, Ca.
