Warren Halsey Millar Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Warren Halsey Millar, on August 10th, 2017. Warren, age 69, was born in Vacaville, CA, on April 6, 1948. He was a resident of Yuba City, CA. He passed at UC Davis Medical Center, after a brief illness complicated by multiple myeloma.

Warren graduated Bullard High School in Fresno in 1966, attended and graduated from Fresno City College and Fresno State College in 1971. Warren was an extremely gifted artist, excelling in multi-media sculpture, and incredibly detailed technical drawing. A very hard worker, Warren made a living utilizing his instinctive skills in two or more vocations. He was a certified fraud examiner and a licensed private investigator for over forty years. Warren retired from the Yuba County Probation Department as the head of the Revenue and Recovery section after 20 years service. Concurrently, he contracted with the Los Angeles company of Harrington Investigations, specializing in insurance cases. Before he retired, due to health issues, Warren worked for the San Mateo County Tax Collection department. His plan was a return to his art, and was researching wildlife stamp drawing contests.

Warren loved the mountains and enjoyed caring for his orchard and surrounding land in Clipper Mills, CA. He loved attending storage unit sales, estate sales and the occasional garage sale, 'scoring' great finds of everything from collectibles to cook books, furniture to old toys and anything unique. He started making and selling jams and jellies at the Brownsville Farmers' Market. His legacy includes the Full Gospel Fellowship Ministry USA, Grizzly Creek Community Fellowship Church building on La Porte Road in Clipper Mills. In 2012, Warren purchased this then dilapidated building at auction, leased it during the extensive renovation process, and transferred to ownership to the Ministry at the completion. Having an established House of Worship in the community was important to him.

Warren is survived by his wife of more than ten years, Diane Wiberg Millar, of Yuba City, daughters, Desaree Millar and grandson, Aiden Millar of Sacramento, CA, Davine Millar of Chowchilla, CA, Jarod Millar and grandson, Jacob, and Jason Millar (Kyndra); all of Billings , MT, stepson, Adam Rentas (Rachel) and grandchildren, Samuel, Lydia, Hannah and Elias of St. Joseph, MI, sister, Cathy Millar Bennett (Frank) of Oceanside, CA; niece, Corinne (Ben) Hutchinson and great-nephew Ryder, of Los Angeles, CA, cousin, Carlton Hendricks of Napa, CA, sisters-in-law; Vickey Eisenbeis of Elwood, II, Wendy Wustenberg (William), niece, Lauren and nephew, Russell of Farmington, MN, Connie Wiberg of Rochester, MN, brother-in-law, Kenneth Seibert, niece, Christina Burke and great-nephew, Kody Robertson, niece-in-Iaw, Janell Seibert, great-niece and nephew; Kayla and Brian, all of Sacramento, CA.
