William Glen Williamson Obituary

June 6, 1935 - February 9, 2017

William Glen "Bill" Williamson, age 81, resident of Yuba City, passed away on February 9, 2017 with loved ones at his side. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bea Williamson; six children, Glen Williamson, Debbie Williamson, Charles Williamson, Keith Williamson, Janice Williamson and Donna Williamson. Bill Williamson was active in his community and church. Helping others gave him peace and satisfaction. From building a house of straw for Habitat for Humanity, substituting at the high school, sorting cans for the food closet, serving his church, or advocating for autism research, Bill was a willing pair of hands coupled to a big heart. He will truly be missed.

Bill served in the armed forces for over 21 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His last duty station was at Beale AFB where Captain Williamson was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Committal of ashes will be in Sutter Cemetery Friday March 24, 2017 at 2:00pm with military honors.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Rd., Yuba City, CA on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2pm. Reverend Garrett Andrew will officiate. All are welcome to come remember and celebrate the life of William Glen Williamson.
