William Henry (Bill) Brown Obituary

William (Bill) Henry Brown, 71, was born June 22, 1945 to Ed and Mabel Brown in Empire, CA. He left us on Monday, November 14, 2016 at his home in Yuba City, CA due to complications from COPD and diabetes.

He is survived by his wife Marty; daughter Sharon (Greg) (grandson Ethan) Smit, in Placerville, CA, and his son Michael (Gina) (granddaughter Annalyn) in Sacramento, CA. He was very proud of and loved his children and grandchildren.

The youngest of 9 children, Bill is also survived by sisters Joann Santos of Escalon, CA, Mary Lou Brown of Modesto, CA, and brothers Eddie (Pat) of Empire, CA, Jesse (Sandra) and Tommy (Bonnie) both of Modesto, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Modesto area.

He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Ed, Bob, and Warren Wheeler, brother-in-law Harold Santos, and previous wife Debbie Brown.

Bill was a gifted diesel mechanic, working mostly in Modesto and Chico.

After retiring in 2000, his passion was helping others thru volunteering at Craftsmen for Christ, and Calvary Chapel Yuba City. His fellow volunteers and church members became like family, and many fun memories were created.

A big thank you to each one who came by to visit him during his home bound time. That was the best gift you could have given him.

Per his request, there will be no services.
