William Leroy Jenson
William (Bill) Leroy Jenson was born May 14, 1939 in Denver, CO and passed away on March 29, 2016 in Fair Oaks, CA.  He is survived by his wife Sylvia B. Jenson; son Curtis Jenson (Nancy Jenson); two grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher Jenson; brother, Jim Jenson, sister, Judith Ann Goulart (Frank), brother, Michael Lee Jenson (Carol), brother, Patrick C. Jenson (Denise), brother, David Keith Jenson (Rosa), sister, Melodee Susan Bell, and sister, Roxanne Lynn Thomas (John); aunt Darlene Wortman, aunt Elizabeth Bliemeister, and aunt Shirley Bliss.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Louise Bliemeister Jenson, father, Clarence Alfred Jenson, brother, John (Jack) Wayne Jenson, and sister, Rochelle Louise Lukas.

Bill's parents moved from Denver, CO to West Point, NE when the children were very young and lived on a farm for several years before moving to Loveland, CO.  Bill was on the wrestling team during his high school years in Loveland.  After graduating from High School, Bill enlisted into the Marine Corps in 1957 and re-enlisted in 1960 to 1966.  He was a Sgt. (E5) when he retired from the Corps. He served on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War. During his last tour he was stationed in Japan and decided to stay and live there after marrying his first wife, Yuko in 1967. They had two sons together, Kenneth (deceased) & Curtis.

In 1987, they moved to Yuba City, CA where Bill owned and operated Video World on Colusa Ave. for many years. He eventually sold the store and moved to Grand Junction, CO for a few years before returning to Carmichael, CA to be near his son Curtis, wife Nancy, and grandchildren, Samantha & Christopher.

Bill was a very patriotic person and loved his country. Among his many interests and hobbies Bill loved playing tennis and that is what he was doing when he passed away.

Burial services will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (Veterans) located at 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA on April 28, 2016 at 2:30pm. A mass will be held at Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale, CA prior to burial service.
