Wilmer (Harold) Donley Obituary

Wilmer "Harold" Donley, 84, of Yuba City passed away peacefully at Rideout Memorial Hospital on January 14, 2016. He was born in New Moscow, Ohio, June 26, 1931.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, daughter, Cheryl Anne Donley/Dillon, stepdaughter, Susan Brookman and sister, Wilma Donley/Banks. He also left behind three grandchildren, Stacy Brookman (Amy), Crystal Juricich (Greg), and Christopher Brookman (Gina). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Edith Donley, brother Willard and sister Juanita.

Harold served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a Staff Sergeant assigned to the 35th Infantry Regiment. Upon separation from in Army, he began to drive trucks as an owner/operator. He and his wife, Edith, along with her daughter, Susan, moved to California 1959 where he continued to be an owner/operator truck driver.

While living the remainder of his life in California, he worked several different occupations of which include; truck driver, plant maintenance, plant supervisor, construction supervisor building strip malls and gold mining. He was also a life long member of the Masons.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please send donations in Harold's name to The Yuba City Chapter of the Salvation Army.
