Nona completed her correspondence course with LaSalle University in Bookkeeping and was then employed by the Yuba County Hospital.

From there she was employed by a restaurant in Yuba City as their bookkeeper. When Kim was a junior in high school Nona attended Real Estate school in Sacramento and obtained her Real Estate License.
