Age 85, of Yuba City, passed away May 6, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Harland was born April 8, 1929 in Webbers Falls, OK.
Harland worked for Newhall Land and Farming Co. in Meridian for 44 years before retiring and moving to Yuba City.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Cathryn; daughter, Teresa Correll and son-in-law Leland of Sutter; granddaughter, Jami Castillo and her husband Derek of Sutter; granddaughter, Lori Correll of Live Oak and great grandson Tanner James Castillo. He is also survived by his brother Chuck and his wife Shirley of Paris, Texas.
Harland was preceded in death by his father Joseph; mother Laura; brother Sonny and sister Helen.
After his retirement he found he enjoyed and was pretty darn good at woodworking, starting with birdhouses and moving on to furniture.
Harland was a very loving man and family was everything to him. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery, Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage donations to Fremont Rideout Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
