Nimma Singh
Nimma, a dedicated servant of God was born in Dhaipai, Punjab of India. At 65 years old on July 25 2014, he went to join his Mahaporsh.

Nimma resided in Yuba City California.

Nimma worked in the local fields and was educated in the Sikh Religion and Priesthood. He had a passion for serving his community amongst which he was well known and was an integral part of the Sikh Temple Service. This translates into a lifetime of volunteer service wherever needed including the "Nagar Kirtan" or Annual Sikh Parade where he attended to every detail pertaining to the Main Float which carries the Siri Guru Granth Sahib and countless other details important in all Sikh occasions.

He was a significant server of the Sikh Holy Book and Langar Sevice. Through this loyalty to the Sikh Religion, he served all of Yuba City.

He was well known, respected and was a very caring and compassionate man who always put the needs of others before his own.

He served the community at large and will be deeply missed by all. Above all, he will be remembered by Didar Singh Bains and his family whom all loved him. Other survivors include his wife Darshan Kaur, a son, Arwinder Singh, brothers Ranjit S. Grewal, Balbir S. Grewal, Gurpal S. Grewal, Pritam S. Grewal, Mohinder S. Grewal, sister Balbir Kaur and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his sister Jagir Kaur and brother Darshan S. Grewal.

Services will be conducted Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Giani Sahib Singh, Tierra Buena Sikh Temple, officiating. Final prayers and cremation will follow at Ullrey Memorial Chapel Crematory. BHOG service will follow at Tierra Buena Sikh Temple. Arrangement under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
