On Monday, August 11, 2014, Elwood (Bud) Maloney left this life and was reborn into his next. He died after a very short illness of an undetermined lung infection.

He is survived by his wife Flo Maloney, his children, Florrie Maloney-Turner and husband Scott, Randy Maloney and wife Stacey, Marie Maloney, Ron Maloney and wife Sandra, Ray Maloney and wife Pam, Jennifer Maloney, and Tricia Maloney-Craig and husband Piper. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Van Cleve, Normalea Krumholz, Shirley Kane, Louise Larson, Kathy Serra and brothers Loras Maloney and Tom Maloney. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.J. and Velma Marie Maloney.

He was a man with a humble and gentle spirit, always looking for the humor in life. He loved good food, a good practical joke, his country and above all, his family and The Lord God. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Yuba City, CA on August 23, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or . Arrangements are under the direction of the Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
