Robert (Bud) E. Gilmore Jr. 82, long-time resident of Yuba City died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home in Bellevue, WA. Born in Taney County, Missouri on June 16, 1928, to Robert E. Sr. and Dollie (Houston) Gilmore. Bud's family moved to California in the 1940's where he graduated from YCHS in 1946. His parents, Robert and Dolly, established Gilmore's Taxi, which operated in Yuba City for many years. Bud married the love of his life, Corinne Clark Gilmore, on April 24, 1949. Their marriage flourished for 62 years until his passing. Bud worked for PG&E in 1947, and in 1954 began a career with the Farm Bureau Ins. Co. For 30 years he managed Farm Bureau offices throughout the area. In 1986 Bud moved to Bellevue, WA where he and Corinne managed 3 bakery restaurants. Retiring in 1990, Bud donated much of his time at the Seattle Revival Center. Bud is survived by his wife, Corinne, a sister Mildred (DuFuniak, FL) and 5 sons, Robert (Sandra) MT, Randy (Gail) CA, Maurice (Sonya) PA, Marshall (Tammy) WA and Galen (Barb) CA, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, with the graveside service scheduled for Friday, February 4 at 11:00am at the Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, CA. A reception will follow at Hope Point Nazarene, 600 N. Geo. Washington Blvd., Yuba City. A memorial service will be held in the near future in Washington. Send Condolences at www.appealdemocrat.com
