Teresa M. Castro
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Teresa M. Castro, 90 of Gridley. Teresa passed away peacefully on December 21, 2012, at Paradise Hospice House, in Paradise CA.
Teresa was born in Corpus Christi Texas on October 15, 1922.
Teresa lived and raised her family in Gridley for 36 years while working for Libby McNeil & Libby then retired to Merced for 25 years before moving to Paradise in 2010. Teresa prided herself on keeping an immaculate home and beautiful garden. She was warm and welcoming, especially for her family.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Salvador B. Castro and one son David B. Castro.
Teresa was dearly loved, and is survived by her children, Arcelia (Rich) Smith of Sacramento, Humberto (Margee) Castro of Gridley, Joe Castro of Paradise, and Mari (Bill) Farnsworth of Sacramento, and grandchildren Christine, Cyndee, Russell, Mark, Mike, Amanda, John, Amy, and great-granddaughter Jackie.
Rosary will be held on December 28, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley at 9:00 am. Interment to follow at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery.
Family suggests donations to the Paradise Hospice House.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.
