Edward (Jay) Parker|
Jay went home to the Lord on January 14, 2013, with his loving family at his side.
Jay was 72 years old and resided in Sutter. Born August 24, 1940 in Arkansas, he was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area since 1948.
Jay was the owner of Jay Parker & Son Construction. He loved spending his time hunting, fishing, playing ball and spending time with his family. Jay was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Parker of Sutter; children: Jay Wayne Parker of Sutter, Karan Ann Lawrence of Yuba City, Pamela Gail Seale of Sutter, and Tina Marie Glende of Chico; his mother, Opal Murphy of Linda; brothers: Gene Parker of Loma Rica, Darrell Parker of Arkansas, and Donnie Parker of Olivehurst; sisters: Geraldine Bushnell of Yuba City, Alice Welch of Linda, Kay McKasson of Yuba City and Linda Hargrave of Olivehurst; and 9 grandchildren.
Jay was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Parker.
Services will be conducted on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Crossroads Community Church. Interment will be at the Sutter Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Tuesday. Visitation will be at the Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm.
