Betty Jean Gibbons
September 26, 1937 - January 19, 2013

Betty Gibbons passed quietly at her home on January 19, 2013 in Marysville, California, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born to Ernest and Ella Hintz on September 26, 1937 in Lodi, California. She worked tirelessly on the family farm in Lodi and was well loved by neighbors and classmates.

Spending time at the ocean always made her happy. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by sister, Irene Giuffra and husband, Angelo of Lodi; sister, Dorothy Turner and husband Roger of Ione; son, Nathan Gibbons of Lincoln; daughter, Fran Edens and husband, David of Graham, Texas; daughter, Mandy Olmstead of Penn Valley; grandson, Austin Edens of Dripping Springs, Texas; granddaughter, Sarah Barie and husband, Jason of Portland, Tennessee; grandson, Jacob Gibbons and wife, Shelby of Fort Sumter, South Carolina; and great grandchildren, Isaac Barie and Adalynn Barie.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Gibbons, her parents, sister, Thelma Jackson, brother, Albert Hintz and son-in-law, Danny Olmstead.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at the corner of 7th & C Street in Marysville. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 Lipp and Sullivan, 629 D. St., Marysville.
