Orlin Elmer Schuler, Jr.|
Passed away January 18th, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born January 26, 1940 in Yuba City. Orlin was a graduate of Sutter Union High School and Chico State College. He taught Automotives in Sacramento for 23 years before retiring to the family ranch in Yuba City where he took such good care of his parents and the family legacy for so many years. He was a longtime Yuba- Sutter resident.
He was preceded in death by his father Orlin Elmer Schuler, Sr. and his mother Johanna Meischke Schuler. Orlin is survived by his sisters Joan Stevenson and Marilyn Backman, his much loved nieces and nephews Krista Bashaw (Pete), Michael Schuler, Brandon Backman, Tawna Purcell (Scott), his great nephews Andy, Austin, and Stuart, and his great niece, Clara Jo. And his very best friend, Niki.
The family much appreciates all the help and support provided by his many dear friends. Our special thanks go to Milton and Brian Greathouse, Jay Carlin, Dan Hooker, and Chuck Kincade. We also give our heartfelt thanks to his loving friends and caregivers Marta, Imelda, Magda, and Rosa. We would also like to thank Sutter North Hospice for their invaluable support. We will all miss his good heart, and his especially irreverent sense of humor.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
