Marilyn M. Bevacqua, 78, passed way peacefully February 17, 2013 at home with her family by her side.
Marilyn was born February 13, 1935 in Waterloo, Iowa to Edmund J. Carroll and Mildred L. Carroll. Marilyn spent her younger years in Iowa and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her family, and attended nursing school to become an RN. There she met a dashing young man in the Air Force and married him in November 1956.
She and Tony were married for 56 years. Marilyn enjoyed her children and grandchildren whom she loved and cared for deeply. She had many hobbies, sewing, reading, painting, cooking Chinese food, and baking wonderful cookies, cobblers and cream puffs. She loved to play pinochle, dance, and have fun with her family.
She was many great things to people such as a daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and nurse, and best friend.
She is survived by her husband Anthony (Tony) Bevacqua; her sister Joanne Clabby; her children: Cathy Travis, Ed Bevacqua, Carol Bevacqua, Peggy Ballasch and Michele Edwards; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law Grace Samson, all of whom she cared for dearly.
All services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, beginning with visitation at 10:00am, Rosary at 10:30am, and Mass at 11:00am.
