A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 10:00am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Fedele Carlo Bozzo of Gridley. Fedele passed away peacefully on March 26, 2013 at the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 25, 1920 in Gilroy California to Joseph and Virginia Bozzo.
Fedele was a long time resident of Gridley. His family moved to the Manzanita area of Gridley in 1932. He attended Manzanita Elementary School and graduated from Gridley High School in 1940. Fedele farmed his entire life. During his 70 year career he raised dried beans, prunes, walnuts, cling peaches and kiwifruit. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Butte County Farm Bureau, and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beulah Bozzo of Gridley, his children Dan (Ann) Bozzo of Gridley, Joe (Helen) Bozzo of Yuba City, Virginia (Henry) Bass of Yuba City, and Irene Patane of Yuba City; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Fedele was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Hughes and Sara Amato and his brother Paul Bozzo.
A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley.
Father Al Kaster will officiate the Service.
Inurnment will be at Gridley Biggs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Food Closet c/o Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.
