Jo-Anna Helen Myles was born on March 1, 1989 in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. She passed away on April 26, 2013 at the age of 24.
She is survived by her mother, Pam Hendrix and her husband Chester Hendrix, and her father Ron Myles [Canada]. She is also survived by her sister, Veronica Gillespie, and brothers David Hendrix, Joseph Hendrix and Thomas Hendrix. She had 8 nieces and nephews, Nathaniel, Suahil, Jonathan, Logan, Lilian, Lorauna, Alexander and Danielle. She is survived in Canada by two aunts, Rene Myles and Sheila Thomas, and one uncle, David Evans.
Jo-Anna passed at 3:55 Friday from complications due to pneumonia brought on by severe seizures.
Jo-Anna was a volunteer for Friday Night Live as her health would allow. Complications from Diabetes and other maladies prevented her from holding down a job, but she loved to participate in activities with her friends in the local community as much as possible, known popularly by her nickname 'Chevy'.
She was a graduate from the Marysville Charter Academy of Arts. She always had a smile for a friend, and time to talk or help. She will be missed.
Viewing will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lipp & Sullivan in Marysville on Thursday, May 2nd. Funeral will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 1997 N. Beale Rd., Marysville, CA [across from Yuba College] beginning at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 3, 2013. Services will be followed by a pot-luck dinner until 1:00 PM, then Jo-Anna will be taken to Gridley- Biggs Memorial Cemetery [just north of Gridley on HWY 99] for graveside services at 2:00 PM.
