Myrtle was born in Arkansas, July 14, 1918 to parents Latimore and Velia Sanders.

When Myrtle was 8 years old she and her family traveled by horse drawn covered wagon to Oklahoma. In 1936 she met and married Wayne A. Kizer. Their daughter Deloris was born in Oklahoma. They moved to Colorado, and son Les and daughter Jewell were born there. In 1943 they came to California where daughter Karen was born. They bought property in the Arboga area where they built a home and enjoyed the rural community. Supported and attended the local Farm Bureau meetings, 4-H, women's home department, and helped during the building of the Arboga Community Center.

Myrtle was a caregiver, always there to give a helping hand to anyone in need. She baby sat area children, worked summers at New England Orchard packing house and several area care homes. They attended First Church of God in Yuba City which became Queens Ave. Church and later was Crossroads Community Church, all pastored by Rev. Charles Elliott. In retirement years they spent 16 summers being camp hosts at Little Grass Valley Lake. They loved playing dominos and card games.

Their home was flooded in 1997 and with the help of Mennonites Disaster Teams it was restored, and now belongs to their grandson Robert.

With Wayne's passing in 2005 Myrtle spent 7 pampered years at Summerfield Senior Living. Her last days were spent at the Fountains, joining her old friend Pat Elliott and meeting new ones.

She has gone home to our Lord and loved ones gone before.
